Technical SEO & SEO Audits in Sri Lanka

If Google can't crawl, render and understand your pages, nothing else you do for SEO works properly. I find the technical problems, rank them by impact and help you fix them.

What a technical SEO audit covers

A technical audit answers one question: is anything stopping Google from finding, understanding and trusting your pages? I crawl the whole site with Screaming Frog. I cross-check it against Google Search Console, then go through these areas:

  • Crawling and indexing. robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, noindex tags, redirect chains, orphan pages and pages that are crawled but not indexed.
  • Site architecture. How deep important pages sit, whether internal links pass relevance to your money pages, and whether URLs follow a clean, logical structure.
  • Core Web Vitals and speed. LCP, INP and CLS on real mobile devices, plus what is causing problems: heavy images, render-blocking scripts or slow hosting.
  • Duplicate and thin content. Filter and tag pages, near-duplicate location pages, and keyword cannibalisation where two of your pages compete for the same query.
  • Structured data. Organization, Person, LocalBusiness, Product, Article and Breadcrumb schema, checked for errors and for whether they actually describe your business.
  • Mobile and rendering. Whether Google sees the same content and links on mobile as a visitor does, including JavaScript-rendered content.
  • International and hreflang. For sites targeting more than one country or language.

What you get

Not a 90-page PDF exported straight from a tool. You get a prioritised action list, where each issue has:

  1. what is wrong and on which URLs,
  2. why it matters for your rankings or revenue,
  3. exactly how to fix it, and
  4. a priority: fix now, fix this month, or nice to have.

I walk you, or your developer, through it on a call.

When you need one

  • Traffic or rankings dropped and you don’t know why.
  • You are redesigning or migrating the website. Get the audit before launch, not after.
  • Search Console shows a growing “Crawled – currently not indexed” count.
  • You have published good content but it doesn’t rank.
  • You are about to spend money on content or links and want a solid base first.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a technical SEO audit take?

For a typical small business site of under 500 pages, about one week from access to report. Large e-commerce sites take longer, because there are more templates and filter pages to check.

Do you fix the issues or just report them?

Either. Many clients hand the list to their developer, and I review the changes before they go live. If you have no developer, I can make most fixes on WordPress, Shopify and custom-built sites myself.

What access do you need?

Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 access, plus read access to your CMS if possible. I never need your hosting passwords for an audit.

Want to know what is holding your site back?

Send me your website and the keywords you want to rank for. I will look at it myself and tell you honestly what I would fix first.
